Jeremy is a graduate of the 2020 Montgomery County Leadership Academy’s signature program. He grew up in Long Beach, CA and moved to Crawfordsville, IN in Spring of 2015. Jeremy worked in Human Resources at Penguin Random House where he facilitated classes such as “PRINT” (a workshop that helps gain insights and learn strategies to help increase ones best self) and “Unconscious Bias Training” for PRH’s Diversity Equality and Inclusion initiative.
Jeremy Served on the MCLA board from January 2022 until December of 2022. During which he implemented monthly Lunch and Learns, aided in facilitating Signature sessions for MCLA, began MoCo Nxt Gen (where young professionals can get together and exchange ideas and goals for the community).
Brittany is a 2018 graduate of the Signature Program. She is the Branch Manager of the Crawfordsville Teachers Credit Union where she has worked since 2015.
In addition to devoting time to MCLA, Brittany has been known to volunteer her time with the Southmont Junior High School girls basketball team.
Monica Nagele is a Registered Dietitian who works for Purdue Extension Montgomery County. Monica was raised on a swine and beef farm in Lebanon Indiana. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in Nutrition, Fitness and Health and Dietetics and her Masters from the University of Central Oklahoma in Food and Nutrition Management. Her passion for the farm and nutrition is what led her to a career in extension, where she connects the food raised on the farm to the nutritional needs of consumers. Monica started her career with Oklahoma State Extension before meeting her husband Adam and moving back to Indiana to continue her career with Purdue Extension.
Monica has a lot of experience working with non-profits in Montgomery County, as success in her position requires the corporation and partnerships of many like minded organizations.
Jamie is a 2024 graduate of the Montgomery County Leadership Academy. Originally from Pope County, IL, She relocated to Indiana in 2011. For over a decade, she managed a local Little Caesars before transitioning into the finance sector. Since January 2023, she has been part of the team at Industrial Federal Credit Union, where she has thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
In addition to her professional work, Jamie has actively volunteered with more than 30 community events, including lunch-and-learns, Relay for Life, Animal Welfare League events, and fundraising efforts for Riley Hospital and St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, among others.
Outside of work and volunteering, Jamie is happily married to her husband of 13 years, and together they have two sons, Spencer and Charlie, as well as five beloved cats.
Jamie is passionate about engaging with the community, fostering leadership, and promoting personal growth and awareness.
Michelle was born and raised here in Montgomery County, graduating from Crawfordsville in 1991. She received her B.S. in Political Science from Ball State University and began her career working with the Promotional Materials Department for Eli Lilly.
Michelle, soon after graduation, started to specialize in being part of the start-up team for various new organizations who were expanding in Central Indiana. This has really set a solid foundation of leadership with training new staff over the years. She currently is the CEO/Executive Director for Abilities Services, Inc.
Michelle and her husband, Scott, have been married for 27 years. They have two children: Connor 25 (wife Allison) and Corbin 19. They live in Crawfordsville with their 3 dogs Pepper, Wrigley, and Tucker
Misty is a 2004 graduate of North Montgomery High School with over 20 years of experience at Penguin Random House (PRH), where she has held various roles, including forklift driver, back-up group leader, and currently, manifest clerk in the shipping department. She earned a B.S. in Management from the University of Phoenix while working at PRH. In 2023, Misty graduated from the Montgomery County Leadership Academy’s signature program, which deepened her commitment to community engagement. Since graduating, she has contributed to organizing Montgomery County’s first Community Day of Service in 2024.
Misty is also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Athens Chapter #97, and is always looking for new ways to give back through volunteering. She and her husband, Brad, have been married for 10 years and live in New Richmond with their new puppy, Hazel. In her free time, Misty enjoys gardening, canning, crafting, camping, and riding motorcycles, all while cherishing time spent with her family.
Chad is a graduate of the 2024 Montgomery County Leadership Academy’s signature program. In early 2024 he began serving as Associate Director of Crawfordsville Main Street. Chad is a fourth generation Montgomery County resident and has been married for over twenty years to his wife Rachel. Together, they have one young adult son, Oliver, and are dedicated to learning to grow food and creating a haven for pollinators and wildlife on their eight-acre smallholding in Balhinch. Chad is an active member of St. Stephen the First Martyr Orthodox Church in Crawfordsville, and enjoys reading, being outdoors, and roasting coffee. His interests include fitness and nutrition, permaculture, and personal development.
Chad’s desire is to contribute meaningfully to the flourishing and holistic well-being of the people in his community, beginning with the person in front of him.
