Lynn (Smoot) Ringis is a 1987 graduate of Oakwood High School in Fithian, IL and has studied professional writing and communications at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Indiana University, and Non-Profit Leadership at Notre Dame University. She is a certified DISC personality trainer , etiquette consultant, Bud to Boss (R) facilitator and CLASS Communicator.
Lynn has been a resident of Montgomery County for the last 17 years, where she and her husband Randy have raised seven children on their hobby farm near Shades State Park. Now down to just one son at home, Lynn enjoys serving her community in a variety of volunteer opportunities and enjoys spending time with her friends and family – especially her ten grandchildren.
Lynn currently serves on the board of directors for the Indiana Leadership Association and on the Montgomery County Plan Commission.
Cassie is a 2015 MCLA graduate, and has stayed involved since, serving as Board Intern, Alumni Organization Committee Member, Secretary, Vice President and currently, President. As a Montgomery County native, she is excited about working with organizations like MCLA to make our community a great place to live and work. Participating in the Leadership Academy’s signature program helped Cassie realize other opportunities to serve the community, and she currently serves on the boards of the Montgomery County Educational Foundation and Chamber of Commerce as well. By day, Cassie is Assistant Director of Career Services at Wabash College. She and her husband, Danny (also a MoCo native), live in Ladoga with their daughters, Scarlett (people) and Zoey (pibble mix). Cassie is a Southmont and Ball State alumna.
John is a principal owner in WCI Family Farms in Linden, where he and his wife Lori, farm with their son Nick (Erin) and his family.
John and Lori have three children: Nick, Tori (Keith) Trusty and Niki (Austin) Berend and four grandchildren Mac, Lilia, Nash, and Oaklee.
John currently serves as a County Commissioner, and has been for the last year and a half.
He is a 2016 graduate of the Leadership Academy, where he now serves on the board of directors.
Tony graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut in 1976 with a BS in Accounting and went to work for R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company holding various positions over the years. He retired as Division Controller of the Crawfordsville Manufacturing Division of R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company after 37 years with the company, spending the last 22 years in Crawfordsville. Anthony is an ex board member of Crawfordsville/Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross, Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau and the Montgomery County Community Foundation. His wife Cynthia works as a dietitian for Franciscan Health they have two children and three grandchildren. Tony currently serves as co-treasurer for the board.
A 2018 graduate of the Leadership Academy, Tyler, was born and raised in Crawfordsville, IN and a graduate of Purdue University. His wife Kristen and him were blessed with their first child, Beckham, in February, 2018. Tyler is the process control manager at Walmart optical lab and have been working there for 5 years. In their spare time, Tyler and Kristen enjoy playing golf, going to Colts games, and playing with their son.
Janet was born and raised in Southern Indiana then moved to Crawfordsville in 1987. She is married with 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.
Janet is employed at Nucor as an Inside Sales Representative. She recently celebrated 20 years of service with Nucor.
She has served on multiple Boards, such as Association of Indiana Taxidermists and American Red Cross and is past-president of the Montgomery County Leadership Academy Board.
Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends, serving in the community and being outdoors.
Sina is a 2017 graduate of the Signature Program and currently holds the office of secretary. She works for the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation office.
