Lynn (Smoot) Ringis has studied professional writing and communications at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Indiana University, and Non-Profit Leadership at Notre Dame University, the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She is a certified DISC personality trainer , etiquette consultant, Bud to Boss (R) facilitator and CLASS Communicator.
Lynn has been a resident of Montgomery County for 19 years, where she and her husband Randy raised seven children on their hobby farm near Shades State Park. With their nest now empty, Lynn spends her free time serving her community in a variety of ways and enjoys spending time with her friends and family – especially her grandchildren.
Darren Heeke is a 2019 graduate of the Signature Program and currently works for the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Darren grew up in Spearville, Kansas. He then moved to Montgomery County where he studied Diesel Mechanics at Ivy Tech Community College.
In his free time, Darren enjoys a variety of sports.
Sina is a 2017 graduate of the Signature Program and currently holds the office of secretary. She works for the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation office.
Summer is a 2020 graduate of the Signature Program. She was born and raised here in Montgomery County and graduated high school from North Montgomery. Summer attended Purdue University and received her B.S. in Health Sciences and began her career as a Medical Technologist in the hospital laboratory.
Eventually, Summer went back to school and earned her Master’s in Public Health. Currently, she works for a nonprofit contract research organization (CRO) that specializes in oncology clinical trials as a database developer.
Summer and her husband, Brock, have been married for 22 years. They have three children: Twins, Kaden and Chloe, 17 and Kiefer, 14.
John is a 2016 graduate of the Signature Program and is very active in the community.
John was born and raised in Montgomery County where his family has farmed for five generations. After graduating from North Montgomery High School in 1982, he began farming grain and livestock.
John married his wife Lori in 1986 and lives in Madison township where they raised three great kids: Nick, Tori and Niki.
John and Lori have six grandkids: Micaiah (6), Lilia (5), Nash (3), Oaklee (2), Elijah (1), and Otto (6 months)
A 2018 graduate of the Leadership Academy, Tyler, was born and raised in Crawfordsville, IN and a graduate of Purdue University.
Tyler is the process control manager at Walmart optical lab and has been working there for 6 years.
He and his wife Kristen were blessed with their first child, Beckham, in February, 2018 and are looking forward to the birth of their second child in 2021. In their spare time, Tyler and Kristen enjoy playing golf, going to Colts games, and playing with their son.
Kayla Kight is a 2017 graduate of the Signature Program and currently works in the sales department of NUCOR Steel.
Kelly is a 2019 graduate of the Signature Program.
Kelly is the Recreation and Fitness Director at the Crawfordsville Parks and Recreation Department. She started with the Parks Department in 2005 and took a break in 2010 to be a stay at home mom for a few years. Kelly found her way back in 2014 and has been employed and loving it ever since. Her position includes overseeing a running the following programs; CYB Baseball, Cville 500, Fast Pitch Softball, Gymnastics, Group Fitness Classes, Indoor Ironman, Pie Run, Slow Pitch Softball, Weight room and day to day business at the Community Center. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies. She is married to Greg price, a local business owner; they reside in Crawfordsville with their 2 kids and 3 dogs.
Rachel is a 2018 graduate of MCLA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership. She serves on the board of the Animal Welfare League and works as an Education Coordinator for a technology company. Rachel lives in Ladoga, where she and her husband Blake and daughter Evelyn enjoying restoring their 19th century home.
Jake is a 2019 graduate of the Signature Program and a natural leader. He is a Marie veteran and currently works at NUCOR. Jake is a native of Montgomery County and comes from a large family. Jake says that growing up playing sports taught him the most valuable lessons including working hard, being a team player and earning what is yours.In his free time, Jake enjoys woodworking, riding dirt bikes, mowing and landscaping his property, lifting weights and grilling out.
